We bought in Freeport, FL and they are doing us wrong. We had have doors that still need to be replaced, trim still needs done. The response we get are ridiculous and we never get firm answers. We purchased our DrHorton home in 2019. We have put in so many tickets for repairs.

Currently we have a class action lawsuit against them involving about 150 homes. Doors, windows, insulation,water drainage issues, ac duct problems, foundations etc. Filed right before covid so it has been a long process.

Here we are 3 years in and I think only 1 has been resolved. And that’s just because we didn’t want to deal with it anymore. They are a joke of a builder horrible quality, they used cheap products. Our house was over 300k and for it to be falling apart is a disgrace.

Would love to know if there’s an active class action in GA already or if we can initiate one. Several of our neighbors are having similar issues as well. We have had problems with DR Horton and the process to buy our home which got pushed back four times because they couldn’t meet construction and inspection deadlines.
The master bath granite counter was cracked in 3 places and they installed it anyway! The carbon monoxide detector was chirping for a week until they replaced it (still not sure it works?). 1 week after moving in, the sewage pipe in the yard spewed raw sewage all over the front lawn.

Kirk Toth said they were told when they bought the property that the house had a certificate of occupancy showing that it had been inspected and certified that it met building code standards.
